In order to ensure the normal operation of three blade roots blower, a certain clearance must be kept between two impellers, between impellers and wallboard, and between impellers and casing.

If the gap is too large, the compressed gas will flow back through the gap, causing the loss of work done by the fan. The problem usually appears is that it is not easy to adjust. If the clearance is too small, due to the thermal expansion of the rotor and casing, the friction between the two impellers, between the impeller and the wallboard, and between the impeller and the casing may occur, resulting in the wear of the casing and the rotor. The load of the motor increases.

A complete set of Roots blower includes: fan host, shared base, motor, motor seat, belt, pulley, belt shield, three-way, pressure relief valve, check valve, pressure gauge, inlet silencer, outlet silencer, shock proof joint, shock proof foot pad, matching screws, etc.

In addition to accessories and motors, the most technical content is the largest, and the most important component is the Roots blower host. A good engine head has relatively low noise and relatively stable air volume during use. Compared with other roots blowers, its service life can be more than 10 years. The main engine of Roots blower is mainly composed of two sets of impellers, one cylinder, four bearings, two pairs of gears, two end covers, one gear cover, two pairs of bearing seats and other accessories.

It should be noted that Roots blower can be divided into two types: vacuum blower and pressure blower. There is no difference between vacuum blower and pressure fed Roots blower in essence, both of which are composed of main engine, motor and accessories. The difference is that the vacuum roots blower has a vacuum filter barrel. This is not required for pressure fed roots blower.

Roots blower structure is mainly composed of four parts: casing, wallboard, impeller, inlet and outlet muffler.

Casing: mainly used to support wallboard, impeller, muffler and fixation.

Wall plate: mainly used to connect the casing and the impeller, support the rotation of the impeller, and play the role of end sealing.

Impeller: it is the rotating part of Roots blower, which is divided into two leaves and three leaves. Now, the three leaf blower has gradually replaced the two leaf Roots blower due to its advantages such as less air pulsation, less noise and smooth operation than the two leaf blower.

Muffler: used to reduce the noise generated by the inlet and outlet airflow pulsation of Roots blower.
