The two rotors are installed on two mutually parallel shafts, and these two shafts are also equipped with a gear of the same size that is engaged with each other. When the motor drives the main shaft rotor by the belt pulley, the gear on the main shaft drives the gear on the other shaft, and the two gears move relative. At this time, one studio inhales gas and the other studio aspirates gas. Each rotor is closely matched with the inner wall of the casing and the surface of another rotor, and the clearance is generally 0.25-0.40 mm. This clearance determines the mechanical efficiency. If the clearance is too large, a certain amount of gas will leak out, and too much leakage will cause the fuselage to heat up.
The rotor of large roots blower shall be cast into hollow to reduce the mass, and the rotor shall have a certain length. With the difference of rotor center distance and length, its production capacity and the resulting pressure head can vary in a large range. After being used for a long time, the clearance of Roots blower increases due to wear, and its efficiency is very low. Therefore, the circulating pipe shall be used to adjust the gas volume, and a safety valve shall be installed on the pressure out pipe to ensure safe operation. In addition, collision between rotors may occur during operation, which is caused by bearing or gear wear and failure to maintain the specified clearance. In this case, timely maintenance must be carried out. The low temperature in winter makes the tar and naphthalene in the gas easy to stick to the rotor, which makes it difficult to start the fan and increases the operating load. At this time, solvent oil or heavy oil can be injected from the fan gas inlet for cleaning.
Assembly steps: install the wallboard (front wallboard) on the drive side to the housing. Install the impeller part into the casing from the gear end. Install the gear end wall plate on the casing, pay attention to the total axial clearance, and select the casing gasket if it is not enough. Assemble the front and rear bearings. When assembling the front bearing, the bearing housing shall be filled with 1/2-1/3 bearing space grease. Assemble the gear. Install the drive side bearing and lock nut together, and install the bearing gland. Adjust the clearance and drive the locating pin. Install belt pulley and other parts.
Precautions during assembly
(1) Check whether the disassembled parts are damaged. Pay special attention to the matching parts. If any damage is found, repair or replace them.
(2) The bearing shall be cleaned and then coated with lubricating oil. When installing the bearing, tools, hands, etc. shall be cleaned.
(3) Remove the dust from the fitting part, and then apply oil.
(4) If the sealing gasket is damaged or lost, the gasket with the same thickness and material shall be replaced.
