What are the conditions for using Roots blower?

Service conditions of Roots blower

1. The working environment temperature of Roots blower shall not exceed 40 ℃. If it exceeds 40 ℃, measures shall be taken to reduce the temperature, otherwise the service life of the blower will be shortened. When the fan is configured outdoors, please set up a rain proof shed.

2. The foundation design shall comply with the relevant regulations of mechanical equipment installation engineering in China. The foundation shall be built on hard soil, which should be 100-250 mm higher than the ground and 800-1500 mm deep. The bearing surface of the foundation shall be 100-250 mm wider than the base, and its foundation shall not be firmly connected with other buildings and wall foundations. Sufficient space shall be reserved around the fan to meet the needs of maintenance and disassembly.

3. The welding slag and other foreign matters in the pipeline shall be removed before the installation of Roots blower. The valve shall be placed in the fully open state, otherwise the fan will be damaged if it is overloaded.

4. Check and add gear oil. When leaving the factory, the oil tank may not be filled with gear oil. Please check the filling of gear oil. In the shutdown state, fill it to the center of the oil window, do not add too much, or oil leakage will occur.

5. Check the tightness of narrow V-belt and the deviation of pulley. Belt pulley deviation can be adjusted with a ruler. After being used for a period of time, the belt will become loose, so it is necessary to readjust it.

6. Check whether the power supply voltage and frequency meet the label requirements.

7. Check the pulley rotation. When looking at the belt pulley, the rotation direction of the belt pulley should be consistent with the rotation sign arrow.

8. Before starting, rotate the belt pulley by hand for more than 1 turn, check that the vent valve is fully open, and if there is no abnormality, start the fan.

How to avoid high temperature of Roots blower

1、 Pipeline: the pressure holding of the pipeline is a factor that is more likely to cause the fan temperature to be too high. According to different diameters of Roots blower, the main pipes at the outlet are fixed. If the diameter of the pipeline with special requirements is changed manually, it is easy to cause pressure holding. In terms of aquaculture, it is often easy to have a thin main pipe, and the modification of the main pipe diameter requires corresponding treatment to ensure the normal outlet pressure of the fan.

2、 Working environment: According to the normal design standard, the fan should be operated in the fan pump room, but most of the Roots fans used by factories and mining enterprises are operated in the open air. In summer, the impact of environmental factors is more obvious. If conditions permit, the site can be equipped with refrigeration and cooling equipment to avoid the impact of environmental factors on the fan as far as possible, or equipped with sound insulation cover with heat dissipation device.

3、 Fan configuration: the pressure and air volume of the fan are certain, but it often happens that small horses pull large cars, that is, small motors with large fans. In this way, in order to meet the flow requirements for use, the fan will cause a relatively large load on the motor, resulting in hot motor and hot fan.

4、 Installation of fan: if the flow pressure of the new Roots fan is normal and not overloaded or hot at the beginning of use, but it starts to burn after a period of time, it means that the fan needs to recheck the tightness of the belt and retighten the fixing screws.
