Roots blower is a positive displacement fan, with impeller end face, fan front and rear end covers. The principle is a rotary compressor that uses two blade rotors to make relative movement in the cylinder to compress and transport gas. The blower is simple in structure and easy to manufacture. It is widely used in aquaculture oxygenation, sewage treatment aeration, cement transmission, and more suitable for gas transmission and pressurization in low pressure occasions. It can also be used as a vacuum pump.

Repair and maintenance of Roots blower impeller. At the initial stage of impeller operation and during all regular inspections, whenever there is an opportunity, the impeller must be checked for cracks, wear, dust and other defects. The impeller must be kept clean, and the dust and rust on it shall be regularly brushed off with a wire brush. As the running time increases, these dust cannot be evenly attached to the impeller, which will cause damage to the balance of the impeller and even cause rotor vibration. As long as the impeller is repaired, it needs to be dynamically balanced again. If possible, the portable trial dynamic balancing instrument can be used for on-site balancing. Before dynamic balancing, check whether all fastening bolts are tightened. Since the impeller has been operating in an unbalanced state for a period of time, these bolts may have become loose.

When the bearing lubricating oil is in normal use, it should be replaced at least once every six months. When it is used for the first time, it should be done after 200 hours of operation. The second oil change should be done within 1 to 2 months. After that, the lubricating oil should be checked once a week. If the lubricating oil does not deteriorate, the oil change can be extended to once every two to four months. The specified brand of lubricating oil must be used when changing, The old oil in the oil tank shall be completely drained and cleaned before new oil can be filled.

Before starting the machine, be sure to open the manual vent valve first, check whether the oil in the oil tank has reached the oil level line, and whether the fan can be turned flexibly by hand. If it can be turned flexibly, press Start, and then slowly close the vent valve to make the roots blower reach full load (remember not to overload). When turning off the machine, be sure to open the vent valve first, and then press to disconnect. Only in this way can the service life of the fan be extended.

Please regularly send someone to check the oil level in the oil tank of the fan. If the oil level is lower than the middle of the oil pointer, please replenish it immediately. If there is any sign of oil leakage at the joint of oil pointer, oil drain plug and oil tank, it must be replaced and repaired in time. Please change the oil completely every six months. If the oil pointer is very dirty and the engine oil cannot be seen clearly, the oil pointer should be cleaned immediately to avoid misleading the oil level in the oil tank and burning the gear. If the engine oil is obviously dirty, it should also be replaced in time.

Understand the key points of basic maintenance of Roots blower

If the bearing is lubricated with grease, it must be supplemented every three months to half a year, and the high-temperature grease of the fan must be replaced once a year. (Note: Roots blowers use pure molybdenum disulfide 3 # lithium grease or special high-temperature grease for fans.) When the fans are running, check the temperature, vibration and sound of the oil tank, and check whether the inlet and outlet pressure ammeter indexes are normal.

Please ensure that the fan room has smooth air circulation and complete cooling measures, and pay attention to the cleaning of the fan room, so as to avoid blocking the intake filter muffler or jamming the fan due to too much dust inhaled by the fan. The filter element in the filter (sponge or filter without anti material) and the dust in the intake muffler must be cleaned regularly. If the filter element cannot be cleaned or cannot be cleaned cleanly, please replace the air filter element in time.
