The foundation of roots blower shall be level and solid, and the foundation height shall be ≥ 200mm. Roots blower and air duct shall be connected by flexible hose (flexible material and non combustible), the length shall not be less than 200mm, and the pipe diameter shall be the same as the inlet and outlet size of roots blower. In order to ensure that the hose will not be twisted or deformed during the system operation, it should be installed with appropriate tightness. The canvas hose installed at the suction end of Roots blower can be slightly tightened to prevent suction when the Roots blower is in full operation and reduce the sectional dimension of the canvas hose.
The steel support of roots blower must be fixed on the concrete foundation, and rubber damping pads must be added between the steel support and the foundation of roots blower. All Roots blower and motor components are installed on the whole steel support, and the steel ground frame is installed on the damping pad on the top of the foundation. The damping pad is preferably made of perforated rubber plates. The pipe diameter at the outlet of Roots blower can only be increased, but not decreased. At the end of the air outlet, an insect screen should be installed. When the air outlet is inclined upward, a rain cap must be added.

Including being familiar with the installation drawing of Roots blower body, and mastering the structural characteristics of Roots blower; Be familiar with the ventilation system drawing of Roots blower, and understand the working condition of Roots blower in the system; Be familiar with the acceptance specification and construction of Roots blower foundation, and check whether the specification and form of Roots blower, the rotation direction of blade or rotor, the power requirements of the matched prime mover, the center distance of anchor bolt holes, the diameter, square and center distance of inlet and outlet flanges, and the center elevation of the main shaft meet the design requirements according to the design drawings.
2. Check the specifications and quantity of accessories, accessories and parts of Roots blower according to the product packing list, and then conduct appearance inspection. If the shell is rusted or damaged, and if the rotor is deformed or damaged.
3. The problems found in the inspection, including design, machine, construction and other problems, should be solved immediately, otherwise the installation work cannot be carried out.
4. The checklist shall be kept by a specially assigned person. Small parts shall be packed and kept in the original box. Roots blowers and motors shall be provided with rainproof sheds, and the bottom of the products shall be provided with skids to prevent the products from being placed in the open air or sinking in muddy water.
5. Note that the above work shall be carried out together with the competent department responsible for equipment supply, and the detailed records of inspection and verification shall be made.
