1、 Preparatory work

Before changing the gear oil, the following preparations should be made:

1. Determine the state of gear oil: check whether the oil level of gear oil is normal, whether the color is clear, and whether there are impurities or dirt.

2. Tools preparation: prepare the required tools, such as oil drum, filter screen, funnel, rag, etc.

3. Determine the oil change time: Generally speaking, it is recommended to change the oil after Roots blower runs for 2000-3000 hours to ensure that the gear oil is in good condition.

2、 Oil change sequence

The following is the sequence of changing gear oil for Roots blower:

1. Shutdown: stop the operation of Roots blower to ensure that the equipment is in a static state.

2. Drain: open the drain port of the gearbox and drain the old gear oil into the designated container.

3. Cleaning: Clean the impurities and dirt inside the gearbox with a filter screen to ensure that the inside of the gearbox is clean.

3、 Precautions

During the replacement of gear oil, the following items shall be noted:

1. Do not mix old and new oil to ensure good condition of gear oil.

2. When cleaning the inside of the gear box, thoroughly remove impurities and dirt to avoid damage to the gear.

3. When adding new oil, pay attention to the control of oil level, not too much or too little.

4. Before restarting the equipment, ensure that all tools and sundries have been cleaned to avoid damage to the equipment.
