Lubricating oil is the part that consumes a lot. On the one hand, it is necessary to check the oil quantity in time, and on the other hand, it is also necessary to ensure the oil quality. The quality of lubricating oil determines its lubrication characteristics. If the quality of lubricating oil fails, it will affect the use of Roots blower, and will also affect the gear.

The lubricating oil should be replaced once every half a year in normal use. The first replacement should be done after 200 hours of equipment operation. If it is not checked once later, it should be replaced according to the oil quality. The old oil in the oil tank shall be cleaned before replacement.

The manufacturer has cleaned the bearing and bearing box to a certain extent when installing the bearing. During the use, we need to check the temperature of the bearing and bearing box specifically. The temperature should not be too high. If it exceeds 80 ℃, it needs to be stopped for inspection.

The maintenance and overhaul of Roots blower shall be carried out on schedule according to the specific use conditions, and a reasonable maintenance system shall be developed. Records shall be kept. It is recommended to overhaul the blower once a year, and replace the bearing and relevant vulnerable parts. Before disassembling the machine, measure and record the matching dimensions of roots blower, and mark the parts to ensure that the original matching requirements are maintained after assembly.

Maintenance and overhaul of Roots blower

Regularly check the fastening condition of all parts of roots blower and whether the locating pin is loose, and check that there is no oil leakage, scaling, rust and peeling inside the machine body. For new machines or overhauled three blade roots blowers, the oil tank should be cleaned and put into operation according to the operating procedures. It is recommended to replace all lubricating oil after 8 hours of operation.

Routine maintenance of roots blower: pay attention to the bearing temperature, sound and vibration in daily work, and check the oil level, oil temperature, inlet and exhaust pressure, ammeter index, etc. of the oil pointer. If conditions permit, replace the gear oil one day after the Roots blower starts normally. You will find that the oil is dark yellow, black, and very viscous. This is because the oil on the bearing and the iron filings in the gearbox are mixed with the gear oil, which is not conducive to gear lubrication. After this replacement, it will be replaced once every three months.

Monthly inspection: For fans with V-belt drive, the tension of V-belt should be checked regularly. Quarterly inspection: regularly clean the filter and replace the gear lubricating oil every quarter. Annual inspection: the gear, bearing, oil seal and gas seal of the fan shall be cleaned regularly every year. Check the condition inside the rotor and cylinder, and correct the clearance of each part.

The operating temperature of Roots blower shall not exceed 40 ℃ under normal temperature. If there is such a temperature requirement, the manufacturer shall be informed at the time of purchase so as to make appropriate adjustment. At high temperature, gear oil, skeleton oil seal and bearing are most vulnerable.
