The working feature of Roots blower is that there is always a small gap between the end face of the impeller and the front and rear end covers of the blower as well as between the impeller of the blower. Driven by the synchronous gear, the air is transported from the air inlet of the blower to the exhaust side along the inner wall of the casing, causing intermittent and periodic changes in the suction and exhaust, and the gas in the pipe is pulsating. Gas parameters in the pipe, such as pressure, velocity and density, constantly change with the position and periodically change with time. This phenomenon is called gas pulsation. When pulsating gas encounters elbow, reducer, control valve and other components, it will generate exciting force varying with time. Under the action of this exciting force, the pipeline will vibrate. The vibration source of pipeline vibration is mainly the pressure pulsation of the gas in the pipeline. Since the pressure pulsation always exists, it is normal for Roots blower to vibrate to some extent within the allowable range, but severe vibration should be avoided, otherwise the pipeline may be damaged.
1. Unqualified original design

(1) First, contact the Roots blower manufacturer to eliminate the possible vibration factors of the blower one by one, so as to ensure that no severe vibration will occur due to the problems of the equipment itself.
(2) Take measures to avoid structural (mechanical) resonance of pipeline to conduct dynamic analysis of pipeline system and avoid resonance. Increase the rigidity of the pipeline to adjust the natural frequency of the pipeline system to avoid the frequency of machine vibration.
(3) The support type is modified to increase the effective suppression of pipeline vibration, instead of only adopting the load bearing design, the anti vibration pipe clamp must also be used to ensure full contact between the pipeline and the pipe clamp.
(4) The flexible vibration damping connection measures between the pipeline and the heat exchanger shall be added to avoid the fatigue damage of the metal materials of the equipment caused by the transmission of the vibration of the pipeline to the heat exchange equipment.
