Roots blower maintenance, how to regularly maintain roots blower

Source: Roots blower manufacturer Published on: December 21, 2021 Hits:
Adjustment of radial clearance of Roots blower: the clearance between impeller and casing shall be adjusted. The original radial clearance value of the rolling bearing is determined according to the bearing grade. As for the dense three blade roots blower, its rated wind pressure is relatively high when it is consumed. In order to ensure the transmission efficiency, the clearance value should be kept between 0.20 and 0.35 mm. Therefore, change the bearing or stop the adjustment with a feeler gauge. The smaller the error, the better.
The clearance between the impeller and the wallboard shall be adjusted. Since the impeller device of Roots blower is equipped with self-aligning bearings, the other end is equipped with roller bearings. The clearance adjustment between the front and rear wallboards of the impeller is completed by adjusting the axial position of the double row bearings. If the impeller and the wallboard rub against each other, a feeler gauge can be used to detect the clearance between the other side of the impeller and the bright side of the machine.
Then rotate the fixed bearing cover screws in, add or extract padding paper between the bearing seat and the bearing cover near the pulley end to adjust, so that the axial movement of the impeller can stop adjusting the thickness of the padding paper according to the clearance. After the correction is completed, tighten the bolts symmetrically, and stop adjusting the clearance between the two impellers, When adjusting the clearance of roots blower, remove the locating pin, loosen the bolt, and rotate the pulley for adjustment.
Roots blower maintenance Repair and maintenance of roots blower impeller:
At the beginning of impeller operation and at the beginning of all routine inspections, the impeller should be checked for cracks, wear, dust and other defects as far as possible. The impeller must be kept clean, and the dust and rust on the surface must be regularly removed with a wire brush, because with the increase of working time, these dust can not be uniformly adhered to the impeller, causing damage to the balance of the impeller and rotor vibration.
After the impeller is repaired, it needs to be rebalanced. If possible, you can use a portable trial balancer to perform field balancing. Before balancing, check the tightness of all fastening bolts. Since the impeller has been running unbalanced for a period of time, these bolts may have become loose.
Maintenance of enclosure and air inlet chamber:
How to maintain roots blower regularly
These areas may not require any special maintenance other than regular inspection of the enclosure and the interior of the air intake chamber for severe wear and removal of severe dust deposits. Regularly check whether all fastening bolts are fastened. For the fan with compression bolt, press the butterfly spring on the foot to the installation height specified in the figure.
Bearing maintenance:
Always check the supply of bearing lubricant. If there is oil leakage in the packing box, the bolts of the cover can be tightened. If this is not possible, a new gasket may have to be used. During normal use, the bearing lubricant shall be replaced at least half a year. The first use shall be carried out after about 200 hours of operation.
I believe that after reading the above contents, you should also know how to maintain roots blower regularly. I hope it will be helpful to you.
