Roots blower maintenance: measures to prolong bearing life of roots blower

Since Roots blower operates continuously for a long time and the temperature rise of the motor body is too high, the bearing will not be dehydrated until the bearing is damaged, the shaft is bent and the belt is broken, which will lead to the stator and rotor. Friction (commonly referred to as broom) leads to a sharp rise in core temperature, insulation of combustion slot, turn to turn insulation, winding turn to turn short circuit or "shooting" on the ground. In severe cases, the stator core may be inverted, misaligned, the shaft may be worn, and the end cover may be scraped off.
When Roots blower works, make sure that the oil level is between the two red lines. (When sticking lubricating oil, add lubricating oil into the oil level system. When the blower and vacuum pump are working, the oil level may drop slightly.) Too little oil will cause poor lubrication of gears and bearings. If the flow is too large, the oil temperature will rise, and the gears and other parts will be damaged. The lubricating oil is DTE heavy water reactor turbine oil (ISOVG68) or L-TSA68 turbine oil with reliable quality.

When the blower and vacuum pump are driven by the intermediate shaft pulley, the bearing pedestals at both ends of the intermediate shaft must be filled with No. 2 universal lithium base grease and 1/2 to 1/3 of the free space of the bearing pedestals. Roots blower for desulfurization fan is a rotary fan, whose air volume is proportional to the fan speed, and is basically not affected by the change of tuyere resistance. This light air characteristic determines that the air volume cannot be adjusted by dragging the air outlet or water inlet. After optimizing these main processes, a large amount of excess air volume can only be adjusted by bypassing, resulting in a large amount of energy loss of the fan. Corrosion problems caused by wear are prominent, and anti vent valves are often required.

     

 Measures for prolonging service life of Roots blower

Roots blower is mainly composed of two rotors with housing, wallboard and impeller. Through a pair of synchronous gears, the two rotors rotate at opposite speeds. The air inlet and exhaust chamber are basically cut off by the clearance between the impeller and impeller, and between the impeller and the housing. Through the rotation of the impeller, the gas in the housing volume is pushed to achieve the purpose of north wind. Because of frequency conversion control, Roots blower can accurately control the air volume, which is more intuitive than valve control and easier to control the air volume of the blower to meet production needs. Due to the frequency conversion technology, the motor has achieved soft start without starting current impact.

When the frequency converter was not used, the motor was started directly, and the starting current was up to 200-300A, which had adverse effects on the motor or the power grid. Now the inverter is used for soft start, and the starting current is not more than the rated current of 46A, reducing the outlet pressure of the fan, instantly increasing the impact on the fan, and extending the life of the fan and other equipment. The fan speed is reduced to 60% of the original, greatly reducing the vibration frequency and noise of the fan pipe, extending the mechanical life of the fan and motor bearings, and reducing the amount of equipment maintenance.
