What are the differences between variable frequency Roots blower and constant frequency Roots blower?

Xin Qianshun told us about the frequency conversion and constant frequency of the motor in the use of Roots blower. There are some things that users do not know about these two types of motors in the use. For example, the frequency conversion motor needs to be used together with the frequency conversion cabinet to control the speed of the motor through the frequency conversion cabinet, Another thing I don't know is that ordinary motors can also be connected to the frequency conversion cabinet for frequency conversion. For these two problems, Xinqianshun Machinery will tell you about them.

1. Difference between variable frequency motor and fixed frequency motor

The frequency conversion motor can change the speed of the motor by adjusting the Hertz of the motor, and the speed of the Roots blower host can be changed by adjusting the speed, thus controlling the air output of the machine. The fixed frequency motor speed is not adjustable. If you want to change the speed of the host, you can only adjust it by modifying the diameter of the pulley.

The advantage of frequency conversion is that it is flexible to adjust the air volume, and it is not so convenient to change the air volume for constant frequency. Please contact us if you have any questions about the air volume of the fan.

2. The use of variable frequency motor needs to be matched with variable frequency box

The frequency conversion motor needs to be adjusted by the frequency conversion box when it is used, and the motor cannot be adjusted by itself! The frequency conversion box needs to be configured by the user. Generally, there are a lot of them in the local market.

3. Ordinary motor is adjusted with frequency conversion box

Some users think that the speed of ordinary motors can also be adjusted through the frequency conversion box, which will cause great damage to ordinary motors and make them break down quickly. High order harmonic voltage and current are generated to varying degrees during operation. High order harmonic will cause the increase of stator copper loss, rotor copper loss (aluminum loss), iron loss and additional loss, notably rotor loss. These losses will cause the motor to generate additional heat, reduce efficiency and output power. If the ordinary motor is operated under variable frequency conditions, the load on the motor will be relatively large.

If it is regulated by frequency conversion, it is recommended to use frequency conversion motor instead of ordinary motor for Roots blower motor. For details of Roots blower, please call
