What preparations should be made before starting Roots blower?

(1) Check the installation quality of fasteners and locating pins.

(2) Check the installation quality of inlet and exhaust pipes and valves.

(3) Check whether the assembly clearance of the blower meets the requirements.

(4) Check that the coaxiality of the driving shaft of the fan and the motor shall not exceed 0.1mm, otherwise it will cause vibration, oil leakage and other phenomena of the fan, affecting the service life of the fan.

(5) Check whether all around the base of the components are well padded and whether the foundation bolts are fastened.

(6) Before starting the fan, lubricating oil shall be added to the main oil tank and auxiliary oil tank to 3mm/2mm of the center of the oil pointer. 68 # machine oil shall be used in summer and 100 # machine oil shall be used in winter. The lubricating oil shall be changed every three months.

(7) Due to the pressure in the main and auxiliary oil tanks, the upper and lower oil plugs of the main and auxiliary oil tanks should be tightened, otherwise oil leakage will occur.

(8) Apply water to the cooling section. The temperature of cooling water shall not exceed 25 ℃, and the cooling water volume shall be 10L/min.

(9) Fully open the inlet and outlet valves of the blower and turn the rotor, and pay attention to listen for abnormal noise in each part.

(10) Check the rotation direction of the motor, which must conform to the direction shown on the steering label, otherwise the fan can not exhaust normally, and the phenomenon of fan blade collision may also occur. When the water is aerated, the water will flow into the fan in the reverse direction, and the transported objects will be sucked into the fan during pneumatic transmission, causing accidents.

How to start Roots blower?

(1) First, check whether the fan environment is turned on and whether the instrument and electrical equipment are in good condition (including normal three-phase power without phase loss).

(2) Check whether the lubricating oil of the fan is half of the liquid level mirror.

(3) Open the vent valve and outlet valve of the fan.

(4) Turn on the fan.

(5) After the fan operates normally, slowly close the vent valve, and then the pressure gauge of the fan rises to 0.04-0.05Mpa.

How to turn off Roots blower?

(1) To stop aeration, first slowly open the vent valve.

(2) Close the outlet valve.

(3) Turn off the power.

　 Installation requirements of Roots blower:

1. The foundation shall be firm, the surface shall be flat and 10-25 cm higher than the ground.

2. Sufficient space shall be reserved around the fan to meet the needs of maintenance and disassembly.

3. The working environment temperature of the fan shall not exceed 40 ℃. If it exceeds 40 ℃, measures shall be taken to reduce the temperature, otherwise the service life of the fan will be shortened.

4. When the fan is configured outdoors, please set up a rain proof shed.

Pipeline requirements

1. The fan pipe shall be tightly connected without air leakage, and the support shall be set at an appropriate position.

2. The pipe material shall be able to withstand the exhaust temperature and pressure. (Steel pipe shall be used as far as possible)

3. The inside of the pipeline shall be clean and free of foreign matters to prevent foreign matters from entering.

4. A one-way valve shall be installed on the pipeline to prevent the backflow high-pressure gas caused by the fan reversal from entering the fan, which may damage the fan. Note: the one-way valve shall be installed on the horizontal pipe.

5. In case of parallel operation of multiple fans, each branch pipe must be equipped with a gate valve (when one fan is overhauled, the pipe can be stopped).

6. The pipeline shall be equipped with an emptying valve to prevent the fan from starting with load. The fan shall be started with no load and then the emptying valve shall be gradually closed. In case of load operation and shutdown, the vent valve shall be opened first to confirm that the fan is not loaded, and then the fan shall be shut down.
