What is the vacuum roots blower? What's the use?

Answer: The vacuum roots blower is the vacuum pump and roots vacuum pump.

Vacuum roots blower (structure of roots vacuum pump):

The overall structure of Roots vacuum pump is determined by the layout of the pump body. At present, there are three general structures of rotary vacuum pumps at home and abroad:

① Vertical structure vacuum roots blower ：

The inlet and outlet of the vertical structure can be placed horizontally, which makes the assembly and connection of the pipeline easier. However, the center of gravity of this pump is high, and its stability is poor during the high-speed development and operation. Therefore, this type of enterprise mainly includes small pumps.

② Horizontal structure vacuum roots blower:

The air inlet of is at the top and the air outlet is at the bottom. Sometimes, in order to facilitate the installation and connection of the vacuum management system through the pipeline, it is possible to connect the exhaust port from the horizontal development direction, that is, the interaction between the air inlet direction and the exhaust working direction is vertical. At this time, the exhaust port can be opened directly from left or right. Except one end of the exhaust pipe, the other end is blocked or connected to the bypass valve. The center of gravity of the pump structure is low, and the enterprise has a good stability during high-speed economic operation activities. Usually, large and medium-sized pumps are used for this social structure.

③ Vacuum type installed perpendicular to the horizontal plane:

The two rotor shafts of Roots blower pump are installed perpendicular to the horizontal plane. The assembly clearance of the structure is easy to control, the rotor is easy to assemble, and the pump occupies a small area. However, the center of gravity of the pump is high, the disassembly of the gear is inconvenient, and the lubrication mechanism is relatively complex.

① The two rotors of Roots vacuum pump run synchronously through a pair of high-precision gears.  

② The drive shaft is connected to the motor through a coupling.  

There are two types of transmission structure: One is that the motor and gear are located on the same side of the rotor, and the driven rotor is directly driven by the gear at the end of the motor, so the torsional deformation of the drive rotor shaft is small.  

Due to the large torsional deformation of the drive shaft, the clearance between the two rotors does not change, so the clearance between the rotors runs evenly.  

The disadvantages of this transmission mode are: a. There are three bearings on the drive shaft, which increases the difficulty of pump processing and assembly, and the disassembly and adjustment of gears are inconvenient; b. The overall structure is uneven, and the center of gravity of the pump is biased to the side of the motor and gearbox.

The other is the motor and transmission device installed on both sides of the rotor. This form makes the overall structure of Roots vacuum pump symmetrical, but the torsional deformation of the driving shaft is relatively large. In order to ensure that the rotor has uniform clearance during operation, the shaft should have sufficient stiffness, and the connection between the shaft and the rotor should be tight. This structure is easy to assemble and disassemble, so it has been widely used.
