1、 Working principle of Roots blower

Roots blower is composed of a casing with nearly elliptical cross section and two side wall panels to form a cylinder. The upper opening is an air inlet, and the lower end is an air outlet. A pair of rotors are horizontally placed in the cylinder, and they rotate in reverse with a pair of synchronous gears to maintain contact free meshing. Gas is pushed from the air inlet to the exhaust outlet along with the working volume formed by the rotating impeller (rotor) profile and the casing.

In addition to driving, the synchronous gear is also used to maintain the mutual position between two rotors. There are narrow gaps between rotors and between rotors, casing and wallboard. There is no contact between rotors during high-speed operation, so it is unnecessary to lubricate rotors.

The pressure is the same. The closed volume (I ') of the right rotor is still connected to the exhaust port, so it is still the inlet pressure. The volume of exhaust port (II) is the exhaust port (indicated by oblique line).
